Welcome to the Department of Humanities at SBOA Public School, Guwahati!

Established in the year 2009 with 8 students, our Humanities Department aims to encourage students to understand and explore various manifestations of human cultures and their developments throughout history up to recent times. We strive to engender awareness among our students, enabling them to comprehend issues pivotal to human conditions and make positive impacts on society.

Over the years, the Department has evolved to offer a diverse range of optional subjects, providing students with opportunities for further exploration and specialization. In 2016, we introduced Maths as an optional subject, followed by Psychology in 2018, adding new dimensions to our curriculum and catering to the varied interests of our students.

This year, we are excited to announce the addition of Legal Studies in 2023 as a new subject, further expanding the scope and opportunities for our students. This addition reflects our commitment to offering a comprehensive and relevant curriculum that prepares students for a wide range of academic and professional pursuits.

The Humanities Stream at SBOA Public School is supported by a team of dedicated and experienced faculty members who are passionate about nurturing the intellectual and personal growth of our students.

In addition to our rigorous academic curriculum, we provide guidance and support for competitive exams such as CUET and CLAT, empowering our students to pursue their aspirations and excel in their chosen fields.
